UPSTATE BILLIARDS ASSOCIATION POOL LEAGUE

Welcome to the UPSTATE BILLIARDS ASSOCIATION (UBA) Pool League!  The UBA is a Rochester, NY based player advancement organization.  Our league is sanctioned by the nationally based BCA Pool League (BCAPL).  The UBA will seasonally advance its members to local, state, regional and national (Las Vegas) competitions. 

The UBA is open to male and female amateurs of all skill levels.  Parity is maintained by utilizing a handicap system.

It is the intent of the UBA that with combined player and management efforts we shall build the UBA into a strong and well organized membership.  With your input and support we will flourish as a solid unit!

 LADY CUE TOURNAMENTS - BCAPL Rules

LADY CUE is a Rochester, NY based monthly 8-ball tournament that is open only to ladies!  This tounament is a 12 month series ending with a TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS!  Points are awarded to all players based on their finishing place.  Ladies who play in 5 tournaments or who finish in the Top 16 will be invitied to play in the Tournament of Champions where $500.00 will be added to the prize money!  The Top 6-8 players will also receive bonus monies depending on the number of entries throughout the series and their finsihing place. 

Advanced players are seperated from beginner players by using A / B divisions.  Depending on the number of entries, the tournament format is either a Double Elimination with a Race to two or three games or a Round Robin with the top two players from each division moving into a Double Elimination bracket.

 T-N-T TOURNAMENTS - BCAPL Rules

T-N-T Tournaments is a Rochester, NY based, traveling, monthly 8-ball tournament that is open to both men and women.  This tournament is a 12 month series ending with a TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS!  Points are awarded to all players based on their finishing place.  Individuals who play in 5 tournaments or who finish in the Top 32 will be invited to play in the Tournament of Champions where $1,000.00 will be added to the prize money!  The Top 16 players will also receive bonus monies depending on the number of entries throughout the series and their finishing place.

Advanced players are seperated from beginner players by using A / B divisions.  The tournament format is a Double Elimination Race to two or three games.

T-N-T SCOTCH DOUBLES TOURNAMENTS -BCAPL Rules

T-N-T Scotch Doubles is a Rochester, NY based, traveling, monthly 8-ball tournament that is open only to teams with co-ed partners.  This tournament will run alongside the T-N-T Tournaments untilizing the same points based system leading to a Tournament of Champions where $600.00 will be added to the prize money.  Bonus money will be based on entries.

Who We Are

Nan R. Wood is a Chief Domestic Engineer and a mother of two boys, one dog, and three cats! 

Prior to her current position as C.D.E., she held secretarial and office management positions with bookkeeping experience.

She has been playing 8-ball since she was about 10 years old and has been playing in the league and in tournaments on and off for the past 15 years.

She brings a love of this game and great organizational skills to The UBA, Lady Cue and T-N-T with the hopes to increase participation and membership.

She is always open to suggestions and can be reached easily. 

Tim Brickle is a successful business man running a family owned packaging company in Lyons, NY. 

He has played 8-ball within our league since it's commencement in 1992.  He also independently ran the previously known Topshots Tournament.

He brings his extensive knowlege of 8-ball, his tournament running abilities and his exceptional business skills to the UBA, Lady cue and T-N-T Tournaments.
